Nettles are an incredible plant that grow wild in many of our own forests and backyards. They sting to the touch unless boiled and can be rubbed on the skin to help reduce inflammation and pain from arthritis. In addition, boiling nettles and consuming them in a tea or taking them medicinally in a tincture or capsule can support kidney health, including breaking down kidney stones.
3. Himalayan salt water
Adding a pinch of Himalayan salt to your water can help your body hydrate better, while providing your kidneys with the sodium they need to function optimally. Your kidneys need the right potassium and sodium balance to filter your blood properly and remain hydrated. Often, if we’re imbalanced in this area, our body won’t actually utilize the water we drink and we’ll remain feeling thirsty, have dry skin etc. Don’t like salt water? Eat more fermented foods like sauerkraut and lightly salt your food.
