Mean Green Banana Smoothie
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 small handful of cilantro
- 1 handful of greens
- 1 inch piece of ginger
- 1 cup coconut water or water
- Bananas are a good source of iron, and can help prevent anemia.
- Cilantro* is highly alkalizing for the body.
- Greens contain minerals, which can help support bone and teeth health.
- Ginger is highly anti-inflammatory.
‘Banapple’ Basil Smoothie
- 2 apples, cored and chopped
- ½ frozen banana
- 1 cup green leaf lettuce
- 3-4 basil leaves
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 cup water or coconut water
Many of us are familiar with the old saying, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”, and for good reason. Among the many health-promoting properties, apples notably contain pectin, a type of fiber that acts as a pre-biotic, feeding the good bacteria in the gut.
Soothing Banana Smoothie
- 2 fresh or frozen bananas

- 1-inch piece ginger root
- Small handful of soaked almonds
- ¼ cup parsley
- 1 cup water or coconut water
- Optional: 1/4 cup oats
