Ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 1 cup gluten-free steel cut oats
- 2 Tbsp pineapple, dried
- 2 Tbsp cherries, dried
- 2 Tbsp pecans, chopped
- 2 Tbsp agave nectar
- 1 tsp cinnamon, ground
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 serving Vega One Nutritional Shake French Vanilla
- ½ tsp rum (optional)
Preparation
- Bring water to a boil. Once boiling, add oats and continue to boil for 1 minute.
- After 1 minute, remove from heat and add the rest of ingredients and stir until well incorporated.
- Cover and let sit for 6-12 hours.
- Enjoy either at room temperature or slightly warmed* (on stove for best results).
*Note: If warmed, place desired amount into a small saucepan and warm on low heat. If oatmeal is too thick, thin with almond milk until desired consistency.
