A Simple Ranch Dressing Made With Simply Wholesome Foods
Many people put out a veggie plate as a healthy snack option, but then pair it with a store bought ranch dressing or dip. The problem with most store bought dressings or dips is that they’re usually chalked full of sugar, saturated fat and artificial flavours – so basically nothing healthy at all. It’s kind of like dipping your veggies in a bowl of junk.
I love to serve a colourful veggie plate when we have guests over and that is why I created my IN-THE-RAW RANCH DIP. The cashews in my ranch dip provide essential fatty acids, fibre and protein, so now you can dunk your veggies into a dip that is super delicious and really good for you! Oh Yeah!
IN-THE-RAW RANCH DIP
- 1 cup (250 mL) cashews
- ¼ cup (60 mL) extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ cup (60 mL) parsley, chopped
- ¼ cup (60 mL) dill, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) lemon juice
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) flax oil
- ½ tsp (2 mL) Himalayan crystal salt
Place all the ingredients into a blender and blend. Add water as needed until the mixture reaches your desired consistency. Store this dip in an airtight glass container in the refrigerator and consume within 3 days.
Power of Food Tip: Use this dip as a delicious dressing for any salad recipe or add protein and a punch to any sandwich or wrap.
