I made these for our new friends from our community on the Young and Raw Facebook page who came to visit. The bread was put in the dehydrator the night before and I whipped up everything else in the kitchen while we chatted.
Cool Cucumber Sandwich
- Use your bread of choice – I love these on the red pepper zucchini bread
- ½ cucumber, sliced thick
- Zucchini Hummus
- 1/2 cup Broccoli & Sunflower Sprouts
Assembly: Spread the hummus on your bread, place the sprouts on top. Finish with a thick slice of cucumber.
Classic Sandwich
- Sunflower Cheeze
- 1 Sliced Avocado
- 1-2 Sliced Tomatoes
- 1/2 cup Broccoli & Sunflower sprouts
Assembly: Spread your sunflower cheese on the base of the bread and place your sprouts on top. Finish off with fresh avo and tomatoes.
Sunflower cheese
- ½ – 1 cup sunflower seeds soaked for at least 6 hours and rinsed
- 4-5 sun dried tomatoes
- ¼ tsp. himalayan salt
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
Instructions: Use vitamix or food processor to blend your cheese until you reach a creamy consistency. You may need to add a little bit of water. Squeeze cheese through a cheesecloth and serve with sandwiches or veggies as a dip.
