One of the best ways to spruce up a green smoothie is to try incorporating different healing spices and herbs. From turmeric, to cinnamon and ginger, I love adding these powerful healing spices to my morning smoothie.
This delicious vanilla and ginger green smoothie is full of powerful antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties from ginger. You can choose to use freshly grated ginger or ground ginger. Either one will work in this recipe. Ginger has numerous health benefits, from helping to combat nausea, to settling an upset stomach and reducing pain and inflammation.
Ingredients:
- Handful of sunflower sprouts
- 1 cup spinach
- 1/2 an avocado
- Half a banana
- 2 cups coconut water
- 2 tsp ground ginger or 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 tsp ground vanilla bean
- 1 scoop plant based protein (optional)
Directions: Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until well combined.
